Christ, the Beloved Son

According to the scriptures, Christ "came forth", was "brought forth", "came out from", "the firstbegotten", "the first-born of heaven", "the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father", the "beloved Son" of Father Jehovah.

Psalm 2:7 I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.

Hebrews 5:5 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

Acts 13:33 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 17:5 While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

John 1:14,18 ... we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father... 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

"The Eternal Father, the unchangeable one, gave his only begotten Son, tore from his bosom Him who was made in the express image of his person, and sent him down to earth to reveal how greatly he loved mankind. He is willing to do more, 'more than we can ask or think.' An inspired writer asks a question which should sink deep into every heart: 'He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?(Romans 8:32)'" Ellen White (RH July 9, 1895, par. 13)

Hebrews 1:3,5,6 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;... 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

"The dedication of the first-born had its origin in the earliest times. God had promised to give the first-born of heaven to save the sinner." (Ellen G. White, Desire of Ages, p. 51)

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,...

Colossians 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

"In Christ 'we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.' He is ' the image of the invisible God , the first-born of every creature ." -E.White (Review and Herald, July 4, 1912 )

John 7:29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.

John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God;...

John 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

John 16:27,28,30 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. 28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.... 30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

John 17:3-8 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. 4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

After Ellen quoted Jn17:3-8, she continued by saying:

"This is the knowledge that every true witness will have. Upon this rock will he stand. His faith in Christ as the Son of the infinite God, the mighty Counselor, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, will give him assurance..." RH August 16, 1898, par. 2-3c

“Through Solomon Christ declared: “The Lord possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth. When He gave to the sea His decree, that the waters should not pass His commandment; when He appointed the foundations of the earth; then I was by Him, as one brought up with Him; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him.” — Ellen White, ST, Aug 29, 1900

In the scripture above quoted from Proverbs 8:22-30, concerning the phrase, "bring/brought forth", it might be worthwhile to consider other uses of these phrases used many times in the KJV. I find these 15 Bible verses most interesting => http://sidnash.org/b/R5w

Matthew 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

"He was born of the Holy Ghost. In other words, Jesus Christ was born again. He came from heaven, God's first-born, to the earth, and was born again. But all in Christ’s work goes by opposites for us: he, the sinless one, was made to be sin, in order that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. He, the living one, the prince and author of life, died that we might live. He whose goings forth have been from the days of eternity, the first-born of God, was born again, in order that we might be born again. If Jesus Christ had never been born again, could you and I have ever been born again?—No. But he was born again, from the world of righteousness into the world of sin; that we might be born again, from the world of sin into the world of righteousness. He was born again, and was made partaker of the human nature, that we might be born again, and so made partakers of the divine nature. He was born again, unto earth, unto sin, and unto man, that we might be born again unto heaven, unto righteousness, and unto God." A.T.Jones, ARSH August 1, 1899, page 487.2-3 (Quoted from the final sermon given at the 1899 GC in Session)

1 John 5:1,5 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him... 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

"It is true that there are many sons of God, but Christ is the 'only begotten Son of God,' and therefore the Son of God in a sense in which no other being ever was or ever can be. The angels are sons of God, as was Adam (Job 38:7; Luke 3:38), by creation; Christians are the sons of God by adoption (Rom. 8:14, 15), but Christ is the Son of God by birth. The writer to the Hebrews further shows that the position of the Son of God is not one to which Christ has been elevated but that it is one which He has by right." (E. J. Waggoner, Christ and His Righteousness, page 12, 1890).

Then, five years later, EGW sorta quoted EJW:

A complete offering has been made; for “God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son,”—not a son by creation, as were the angels, nor a son by adoption, as is the forgiven sinner, but a Son begotten in the express image of the Father's person, and in all the brightness of his majesty and glory, one equal with God in authority, dignity, and divine perfection. In him dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. -Ellen White, Signs of the Times, May 30, 1895, Christ Our Complete Salvation, par 3

"... His beauty was so highly exalted that he thought he should be as God, and Christ must be second to him; but the Lord informed Satan this could not be possible. Christ was His only begotten Son." (E.G. White, 25LtMs, Lt 157, 1910, par. 7)

" Christ was the only begotten Son of God, and Lucifer, that glorious angel, got up a warfare over the matter, until he had to be thrust down to the earth." (Ellen G. White, 25LtMs, Ms 86, 1910, par. 29)

" Angels were expelled from heaven because they would not work in harmony with God. They fell from their high estate because they wanted to be exalted. They had come to exalt themselves, and they forgot that their beauty of person and of character came from the Lord Jesus. This fact the angels would obscure, that Christ was the only begotten Son of God , and they came to consider that they were not to consult Christ. One angel began the controversy and carried it on until there was rebellion in the heavenly courts among the angels...." 25LtMs, Lt 42, 1910, par. 3

"Giving Christ, God has given everything. Nothing greater, nothing more costly, could He bestow. In giving His Son, He gave all heaven , not because of any goodness or righteousness that we possess, but because He loved us." (E.White, 25LtMs, Ms 31, 1911, par. 32)

"When I read in the Bible of how many refused to believe that Christ was the Son of God, sadness fills my heart. We read that even His own brethren refused to believe in Him." (E.G. White, 21LtMs, Lt 398, 1906, par. 2)

"God is the Father of Christ ; Christ is the Son of God." -8T 268:3

"Let the brightest example the world has yet seen be your example, rather than the greatest and most learned men of this age, who know not God, nor Jesus Christ whom He has sent. Jehovah, our Father, and His Son Jesus Christ are alone to be exalted. The knowledge of God is eternal life to those who receive it. His holy banner is to stand elevated above all the greatness of the greatest men, above all the honor and glory of the world." -Ellen White, 13LtMs, Ms 11, 1898, par. 11

Desiring to live by every word that comes from the mouth of Jehovah (Deut8:3; Matt4:4)
