She is said to have been age 17 when she married Henry Kent, Jr. in 1677.She is said to be under 17 in the will of her brother Benjamin Brasseur, which proved 3 Mar 1675. She was therefore born after the 1658 arrival of her family in Calvert Co. She is named as the wife of Henry Kent by Thomas Sterling in his 12 Apr 1677 accounting of the estate of her brother. Charles Brashear believed that Henry married again, after Martha's death. However, Martha died after her husband.

Martha married Henry Kent, son of Henry Kent and Thomasine Young. (Henry Kent was born in 1652 in VA ⁴⁸¹ and died in 1686 in Calvert County MD ⁴⁸¹.)
