Zechariah 1:1 ¶ In the eighth8066 month,2320 in the second8147 year8141 of Darius,1867 the word1697 of Yahweh3068 came to Zechariah2148 the son1121 of Berechiah,1296 the son1121 of Iddo,5714 the prophet,5030 saying,5592 "Yahweh3068 was very7110 displeased7107 with your fathers.13 Therefore tell559 them: Thus says559 Yahweh3068 of Armies:6635 ‘Return7725 to me,' says559 Yahweh3068 of Armies,6635 ‘and I will return7725 to you,' says5002 Yahweh3068 of Armies.66354 Don't you be like your fathers,1 to whom the former7223 prophets5030 proclaimed,7121 saying:559 Thus says559 Yahweh3068 of Armies,6635 ‘Return7725 now from your evil7451 ways,1870 and from your evil7451 doings;'4611 but they did not hear,8085 nor listen7181 to me, says5002 Yahweh.30685 Your fathers,1 where are they? It is often used as an interjection.} a man376 riding7392 on a red122 horse,5483 and he stood5975 among the myrtle trees1918 that were in a ravine;4699 and behind310 him there were red,122 brown,8320 and white3836 horses.54839 Then I asked,559 ‘My lord,113 what are these?'" The angel4397 who talked1696 with me said559 to me, "I will show7200 you what these are."
Zechariah 1:10 ¶ The man376 who stood5975 among the myrtle trees1918 answered,6030 "They are the ones Yahweh3068 has sent7971 to go1980 back and forth through the earth."776
Zechariah 1:11 ¶ They reported6030 to the angel4397 of Yahweh3068 who stood5975 among the myrtle trees,1918 and said,559 "We have walked back and forth1980 through the earth,776 and behold, all the earth776 is at rest3427 and in peace."825212 Then the angel4397 of Yahweh3068 replied,6030 "O Yahweh3068 of Armies,6635 how long will you not have mercy7355 on Jerusalem3389 and on the cities5892 of Judah,3063 against which you have had indignation2194 these seventy7657 years?"8141
Zechariah 1:13 ¶ Yahweh3068 answered6030 the angel4397 who talked1696 with me with kind2896 and comforting5150 words.169714 So the angel4397 who talked1696 with me said559 to me, "Proclaim,7121 saying,559 ‘Thus says559 Yahweh3068 of Armies:6635 "I am jealous7065 for Jerusalem3389 and for Zion6726 with a great1419 jealousy.706815 I am very14197110 angry7107 with the nations1471 that are at ease;7600 for I was but a little4592 displeased,7107 but they added5826 to the calamity."745116 Therefore thus says559 Yahweh:3068 "I have returned7725 to Jerusalem3389 with mercy.7356 My house1004 shall be built1129 in it," says5002 Yahweh3068 of Armies,6635 "and a line6957 shall be stretched forth5186 over Jerusalem."'3389
Zechariah 1:17 ¶ "Proclaim7121 further, saying,559 ‘Thus says559 Yahweh3068 of Armies:6635 "My cities5892 will again overflow6327 with prosperity,2896 and Yahweh3068 will again comfort5162 Zion,6726 and will again choose977 Jerusalem."'"3389
Zechariah 1:18 ¶ I lifted up5375 my eyes,5869 and saw,7200 and behold, four702 horns.716119 I asked559 the angel4397 who talked1696 with me, "What are these?" He answered559 me, "These are the horns7161 which have scattered2219 Judah,3063 Israel,3478 and Jerusalem."3389
