Jonah 4:5 ¶ Then Jonah3124 went out3318 of the city,5892 and sat3427 on the east side6924 of the city,5892 and there made6213 himself a booth,5521 and sat3427 under it in the shade,6738 until he might see7200 what would become of the city.58926 Yahweh3068 God430 prepared4487 a vine,7021 and made it to come up5927 over Jonah,3124 that it might be a shade6738 over his head,7218 to deliver5337 him from his discomfort.7451 So he3124 was exceedingly1419 glad8055 because of the vine.70217 But God430 prepared4487 a worm8438 at5927 dawn7837 the next day,4283 and it chewed5221 on the vine,7021 so that it withered.30018 It happened, when the sun8121 arose,2224 that God430 prepared4487 a sultry2759 east6921 wind;7307 and the sun8121 beat5221 on Jonah's3124 head,7218 so that he fainted,5968 and requested7592 for himself5315 that he might die,4191 and said,559 "It is better2896 for me to die4194 than to live."2416
Jonah 4:9 ¶ God430 said559 to Jonah,3124 "Is it right3190 for you to be angry2734 about the vine?"7021 He said,559 "I am right3190 to be angry,2734 even to death."4194
Jonah 4:10 ¶ Yahweh3068 said,559 "You have been concerned2347 for the vine,7021 for which you have not labored,5998 neither made it grow;1431 which came up in a night,1121 and perished6 in a night.112111 be concerned2347 for Nineveh,5210 that great1419 city,5892 in which are3426 more7235 than one hundred twenty8147 thousand7239 persons120 who can't discern3045 between their right hand3225 and their left hand;8040 and also much7227 livestock?"929
