Jonah 3:3 ¶ So Jonah3124 arose,6965 and went3212 to Nineveh,5210 according to the word1697 of Yahweh.3068 Now Nineveh5210 was an exceedingly430 great1419 city,5892 three7969 days'3117 journey4109 across.

Jonah 3:5 ¶ The people582 of Nineveh5210 believed539 God;430 and they proclaimed7121 a fast,6685 and put3847 on sackcloth,8242 from their greatest1419 even to their least.69966 The news1697 reached5060 the king4428 of Nineveh,5210 and he arose6965 from his throne,3678 and took off5674 his royal robe,155 covered3680 himself with sackcloth,8242 and sat3427 in ashes.6657 He made a proclamation2199 and published559 through Nineveh5210 by the decree2940 of the king4428 and his nobles,1419 saying,559 "Let neither man120 nor animal,929 herd1241 nor flock,6629 taste2938 anything;3972 let them not feed,7462 nor drink8354 water;43258 but let them be covered3680 with sackcloth,8242 both man120 and animal,929 and let them cry7121 mightily2394 to God.430 Yes, let them turn7725 everyone376 from his evil7451 way,1870 and from the violence2555 that is in his hands.37099 Who knows3045 whether God430 will not turn7725 and relent, and turn7725 away7725 from his fierce2740 anger,639 so that we might not perish?"6
