Jeremiah 6:1 ¶ "Flee5756 for safety, you children1121 of Benjamin,1144 out of the midst7130 of Jerusalem,3389 and blow8628 the trumpet7782 in Tekoa,8620 and raise up5375 a signal4864 on Beth Haccherem;1021 for evil7451 looks8259 forth from the north,6828 and a great1419 destruction.76672 The1820 comely5116 and delicate6026 one, the daughter1323 of Zion,6726 will I cut off.
3 Shepherds7462 with their flocks5739 shall come935 to her; they shall pitch8628 their tents168 against her all around;5439 they shall feed7462 everyone376 in his place."3027
Jeremiah 6:4 ¶ "Prepare6942 war4421 against her; arise,6965 and let us go up5927 at noon.6672 Woe188 to us! For the day3117 declines,6437 for the shadows6752 of the evening6153 are stretched out.51865 Arise,6965 and let us go5927 up by night,3915 and let us destroy7843 her palaces."7596 For Yahweh3068 of Armies6635 said,559 "Cut down3772 trees,6097 and cast8210 up a mound5550 against Jerusalem:3389 this is the city5892 to be visited;6485 she is wholly oppression6233 in the midst7130 of her.
7 As a well953 casts forth6979 its waters,4325 so she casts forth6979 her wickedness:7451 violence2555 and destruction7701 is heard8085 in her; before me6440 continually8548 is sickness2483 and wounds.43478 Be instructed,3256 Jerusalem,3389 lest my soul5315 be alienated3363 from you; lest I make7760 you a desolation,8077 a land776 not inhabited."3427
Jeremiah 6:9 ¶ Thus says559 Yahweh3068 of Armies,6635 "They shall thoroughly5953 glean5953 the remnant7611 of Israel3478 like a vine.1612 Turn again7725 your hand3027 as a grape gatherer1219 into the baskets."5552
Jeremiah 6:10 ¶ To whom shall I speak1696 and testify,1696 that they may hear?8085 Behold, their ear241 is uncircumcised,6189 and they can't3201 listen.7181 Behold, the word1697 of Yahweh3068 has become a reproach2781 to them. They have no delight2654 in it.

Jeremiah 6:16 ¶ Thus says559 Yahweh,3068 "Stand5975 in the ways1870 and see,7200 and ask7592 for the old5769 paths,5410 ‘Where is the good2896 way?'1870 and walk3212 in it, and you will find4672 rest4771 for your souls.5315 But they said,559 ‘We will not walk3212 in it.'
17 I set6965 watchmen6822 over you, saying, ‘Listen7181 to the sound6963 of the trumpet!'7782 But they said,559 ‘We will not listen!'718118 Therefore hear,8085 you nations,1471 and know,3045 congregation,5712 what is among them.
19 Hear,8085 earth!776 Behold, I will bring935 evil7451 on this people,5971 even the fruit6529 of their thoughts,4284 because they have not listened7181 to my words;1697 and as for my law,8451 they have rejected3988 it.
20 To what purpose comes935 there to me frankincense3828 from Sheba,7614 and the sweet2896 cane7070 from a far4801 country?776 your burnt offerings5930 are not acceptable,7522 nor your sacrifices2077 pleasing6149 to me."
Jeremiah 6:21 ¶ Therefore thus says559 Yahweh,3068 "Behold, I will lay5414 stumbling blocks4383 before this people.5971 The fathers1 and the sons1121 together3162 shall stumble3782 against them. The neighbor7934 and his friend7453 shall perish."622 Thus says559 Yahweh,3068 "Behold, a people5971 comes935 from the north6828 country.776 A great1419 nation1471 shall be stirred5782 up from the uttermost parts3411 of the earth.77623 They take hold2388 of bow7198 and spear.3591 They are cruel,394 and have no mercy.7355 Their voice6963 roars1993 like the sea,3220 and they ride7392 on horses,5483 everyone set in array,6186 as a man376 to the battle,4421 against you, daughter1323 of Zion."6726

Jeremiah 6:27 ¶ "I have made5414 you a tester969 of metals and a fortress4013 among my people;5971 that you may know3045 and try974 their way.187028 They are all grievous5493 rebels,5637 going1980 about with slanders;7400 they are brass5178 and iron:1270 they all of them deal corruptly.784329 The bellows4647 blow fiercely;2787 the lead5777 is consumed8552 of the fire:800 in vain7723 do they go6884 on refining;6884 for the wicked7451 are not plucked away.542330 Men will call7121 them rejected3988 silver,3701 because Yahweh3068 has rejected3988 them."
