Jeremiah 17:1 ¶ The sin2403 of Judah3063 is written3789 with a pen5842 of iron,1270 and with the point6856 of a diamond:8068 it is engraved2790 on the tablet3871 of their heart,3820 and on the horns7161 of your altars;41962 while their children1121 remember2142 their altars4196 and their Asherim842 by the green7488 trees6086 on the high1364 hills.13893 My mountain2042 in the field,7704 I will give5414 your substance2428 and all your treasures214 for a spoil,957 and your high places,1116 because of sin,2403 throughout all your borders.13664 You, even of yourself, shall discontinue8058 from your heritage5159 that I gave5414 you; and I will cause you to serve5647 your enemies341 in the land776 which you don't know:3045 for you have kindled6919 a fire784 in my anger639 which shall burn33445704 forever.57695 Thus says559 Yahweh:3068 Cursed779 is the man1397 who trusts982 in man,120 and makes7760 flesh1320 his arm,2220 and whose heart3820 departs5493 from Yahweh.30686 For he shall be like the heath6199 in the desert,6160 and shall not see7200 when good2896 comes,935 but shall inhabit7931 the parched places2788 in the wilderness,4057 a salt4420 land776 and not inhabited.34277 Blessed1288 is the man1397 who trusts982 in Yahweh,3068 and whose trust4009 Yahweh3068 is.
8 For he shall be as a tree6086 planted8362 by the waters,4325 who spreads out7971 its roots8328 by the river,3105 and shall not fear7200 when heat2527 comes,935 but its leaf5929 shall be green;7488 and shall not be careful1672 in the year8141 of drought,1226 neither shall cease4185 from yielding6213 fruit.65299 The heart3820 is deceitful6121 above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt:605 who can know3045 it?
10 I, Yahweh,3068 search2713 the mind,3820 I try974 the heart,3820 even to give5414 every man376 according to his ways,1870 according to the fruit6529 of his doings.461111 As the partridge7124 that sits1716 on eggs which she has not laid,3205 so is he who gets6213 riches,6239 and not by right;4941 in the midst2677 of his days3117 they shall leave5800 him, and at his end319 he shall be a fool.503612 A glorious3519 throne,3678 set on high4791 from the beginning,7223 is the place4725 of our sanctuary.472013 Yahweh,3068 the hope4723 of Israel,3478 all who forsake5800 you shall be disappointed.954 Those who depart3249 from me5493 shall be written3789 in the earth,776 because they have forsaken5800 Yahweh,3068 the spring4726 of living2416 waters.432514 Heal7495 me, O Yahweh,3068 and I shall be healed;7495 save3467 me, and I shall be saved:3467 for you are my praise.841615 Behold, they tell559 me, Where is the word1697 of Yahweh?3068 let it come935 now.

25 then shall there enter935 in by the gates8179 of this city5892 kings4428 and princes8269 sitting3427 on the throne3678 of David,1732 riding7392 in chariots7393 and on horses,5483 they, and their princes,8269 the men376 of Judah,3063 and the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem;3389 and this city5892 shall remain3427 forever.576926 They shall come935 from the cities5892 of Judah,3063 and from the places around5439 Jerusalem,3389 and from the land776 of Benjamin,1144 and from the lowland,8219 and from the hill country,2022 and from the South,5045 bringing935 burnt offerings,5930 and sacrifices,2077 and meal offerings,4503 and frankincense,3828 and bringing935 sacrifices of thanksgiving,8426 to the house1004 of Yahweh.306827 But if you will not listen8085 to me to make the Sabbath7676 day3117 holy,6942 and not to bear5375 a burden4853 and enter in935 at the gates8179 of Jerusalem3389 on the Sabbath7676 day;3117 then will I kindle3341 a fire784 in its gates,8179 and it shall devour398 the palaces759 of Jerusalem,3389 and it shall not be quenched.3518
