2 Chronicles 7:1 ¶ Now when Solomon8010 had made an end3615 of praying,6419 the fire784 came down3381 from heaven,8064 and consumed398 the burnt offering5930 and the sacrifices;2077 and the glory3519 of Yahweh3068 filled4390 the house.10042 The priests3548 could3201 not enter935 into the house1004 of Yahweh,3068 because the glory3519 of Yahweh3068 filled4390 Yahweh's3068 house.10043 All the children1121 of Israel3478 looked7200 on, when the fire784 came down,3381 and the glory3519 of Yahweh3068 was on the house;1004 and they bowed3766 themselves with their faces639 to the ground776 on the pavement,7531 and worshiped,7812 and gave thanks3034 to Yahweh,3068 saying, "For he is good;2896 for his loving kindness2617 endures for ever."57694 Then the king4428 and all the people5971 offered2076 sacrifice2077 before6440 Yahweh.30685 King4428 Solomon8010 offered2076 a sacrifice2077 of twenty -6242 two8147 thousand505 head of cattle,1241 and a hundred3967 and twenty6242 thousand505 sheep.6629 So the king4428 and all the people5971 dedicated2596 the house1004 of God.4306 The priests3548 stood,5975 according to their positions;4931 the Levites3881 also with instruments3627 of music7892 of Yahweh,3068 which David1732 the king4428 had made6213 to give thanks3034 to Yahweh,3068 when David1732 praised3034 by their ministry,3027 saying "For his loving kindness2617 endures for ever."5769 The priests3548 sounded trumpets2690 before them; and all Israel3478 stood.5975
2 Chronicles 7:7 ¶ Moreover Solomon8010 made the middle8432 of the court2691 holy6942 that was before6440 the house1004 of Yahweh;3068 for there he offered6213 the burnt offerings,5930 and the fat2459 of the peace offerings,8002 because the bronze5178 altar4196 which Solomon8010 had made6213 was not able3201 to receive3557 the burnt offering,5930 and the meal offering,4503 and the fat.24598 So Solomon8010 held6213 the feast2282 at that time6256 seven7651 days,3117 and all Israel3478 with him, a very3966 great1419 assembly,6951 from the entrance935 of Hamath2574 to the brook5158 of Egypt.47149 On the eighth8066 day3117 they held6213 a solemn assembly:6116 for they kept6213 the dedication2598 of the altar4196 seven7651 days,3117 and the feast2282 seven7651 days.311710 On the three7969 and twentieth6242 day3117 of the seventh7637 month2320 he sent7971 the people5971 away7971 to their tents,168 joyful2896 and glad8056 of heart3820 for the goodness2896 that Yahweh3068 had shown6213 to David,1732 and to Solomon,8010 and to Israel3478 his people.597111 Thus Solomon8010 finished3615 the house1004 of Yahweh,3068 and the king's4428 house:1004 and he successfully completed6743 all that came935 into Solomon's8010 heart3820 to make6213 in the house1004 of Yahweh,3068 and in his own house.1004
2 Chronicles 7:12 ¶ Yahweh3068 appeared7200 to Solomon8010 by night,3915 and said559 to him, "I have heard8085 your prayer,8605 and have chosen977 this place4725 to myself for a house1004 of sacrifice.2077
2 Chronicles 7:13 ¶ "If2005 I shut up6113 the sky8064 so that there is no rain,4306 or if I command6680 the locust2284 to devour398 the land,776 or if I send7971 pestilence1698 among my people;597114 if my people,5971 who are called7121 by my name,8034 shall humble3665 themselves, and pray,6419 and seek1245 my face,6440 and turn7725 from their wicked7451 ways;1870 then will I hear8085 from heaven,8064 and will forgive5545 their sin,2403 and will heal7495 their land.77615 Now my eyes5869 shall be open,6605 and my ears241 attentive,7183 to the prayer8605 that is made in this place.472516 For now have I chosen977 and made this house1004 holy,6942 that my name8034 may be there5704 forever;5769 and my eyes5869 and my heart3820 shall be there perpetually.3117
2 Chronicles 7:17 ¶ "As for you, if you will walk3212 before6440 me as David1732 your father1 walked,3212 and do6213 according to all that I have commanded6680 you, and will keep8104 my statutes2706 and my ordinances;494118 then I will establish6965 the throne3678 of your kingdom,4438 according as I covenanted3772 with David1732 your father,1 saying,559 ‘There shall not fail3772 you a man376 to be ruler4910 in Israel.'347819 But if you turn away,7725 and forsake5800 my statutes2708 and my commandments4687 which I have set5414 before6440 you, and shall go1980 and serve5647 other312 gods,430 and worship7812 them;
20 then I will pluck them up by the roots5428 out of my land127 which I have given5414 them; and this house,1004 which I have made holy6942 for my name,8034 I will cast out7993 of my sight,6440 and I will make5414 it a proverb4912 and a byword8148 among all peoples.597121 This house,1004 which is so high,5945 everyone who passes5674 by it shall be astonished,8074 and shall say,559 ‘Why has Yahweh3068 done6213 thus to this land,776 and to this house?'100422 They shall answer,559 ‘Because they abandoned5800 Yahweh,3068 the God430 of their fathers,1 who brought them forth3318 out of the land776 of Egypt,4714 and took2388 other312 gods,430 worshiped7812 them, and served5647 them. Therefore he has brought935 all this evil7451 on them.'"
