Hierarchy of Heaven - the 3 highest in authority

“Thou shalt have no other gods before Me.”(Ex 20:3) PP 305.3  Jehovah, the eternal, self-existent, uncreated One, Himself the Source and Sustainer of all, is alone entitled to supreme reverence and worship. Man is forbidden to give to any other object the first place in his affections or his service. Whatever we cherish that tends to lessen our love for God or to interfere with the service due Him, of that do we make a god. PP 305.4

The Son of God was next in authority to the great Lawgiver. He knew that His life alone could be sufficient to ransom fallen man” (Ellen White, 2SP 9; LHU 24).

Satan’s position in heaven had been next to the Son of God. He was first among the angels” (Ellen White, 1SM 341).
Satan, the chief of the fallen angels, once had an exalted position in Heaven. He was next in honor to Christ” (Ellen White, RH, 24 February 1874).
'Of Gabriel the Saviour speaks in the Revelation, saying that “He sent and signified it by His angel unto His servant John.” Revelation 1:1. And to John the angel declared, “I am a fellow servant with thee and with thy brethren the prophets.” Revelation 22:9, R. V. Wonderful thought—that the angel who stands next in honor to the Son of God is the one chosen to open the purposes of God to sinful men."' {Desire of Ages, page 99}
