2 The seed2233 of Israel3478 separated914 themselves from all foreigners,1121 and stood5975 and confessed3034 their sins,2403 and the iniquities5771 of their fathers.13 They stood up6965 in their place,5977 and read7121 in the book5612 of the law8451 of Yahweh3068 their God430 a fourth part7243 of the day;3117 and a fourth part7243 they confessed,3034 and worshiped7812 Yahweh3068 their God.4304 Then Jeshua,3442 and Bani,1137 Kadmiel,6934 Shebaniah,7645 Bunni,1138 Sherebiah,8274 Bani,1137 and Chenani3662 of the Levites3881 stood up6965 on the stairs,4608 and cried2199 with a loud1419 voice6963 to Yahweh3068 their God.4305 Then the Levites,3881 Jeshua,3442 and Kadmiel,6934 Bani,1137 Hashabneiah,2813 Sherebiah,8274 Hodiah,1941 Shebaniah,7645 and Pethahiah,6611 said,559 "Stand up6965 and bless1288 Yahweh3068 your God430 from everlasting5769 to everlasting!5769 Bessed1288 be your glorious3519 name,8034 which is exalted7311 above all blessing1293 and praise!84166 You are Yahweh,3068 even you alone. You have made6213 heaven,8064 the heaven8064 of heavens,8064 with all their army,6635 the earth776 and all things that are on it, the seas3220 and all that is in them, and you preserve2421 them all. The army6635 of heaven8064 worships7812 you.
7 You are Yahweh,3068 the God430 who chose977 Abram,87 and brought him out3318 of Ur218 of the Chaldees,3778 and gave7760 him the name8034 of Abraham,858 and found4672 his heart3824 faithful539 before6440 you, and made3772 a covenant1285 with him to give5414 the land776 of the Canaanite,3669 the Hittite,2850 the Amorite,567 and the Perizzite,6522 and the Jebusite,2983 and the Girgashite,1622 to give5414 it to his seed,2233 and have performed6965 your words;1697 for you are righteous.6662

Nehemiah 9:26 "Nevertheless they were disobedient,4784 and rebelled4775 against you, and cast7993 your law8451 behind310 their back,1458 and killed2026 your prophets5030 that testified5749 against them to turn7725 them again to you, and they committed6213 awful1419 blasphemies.500727 Therefore you delivered5414 them into the hand3027 of their adversaries,6862 who distressed6887 them. Nehemiah 9:31 "Nevertheless in your manifold7227 mercies7356 you did6213 not make a full end3617 of them, nor forsake5800 them; for you are a gracious2587 and merciful7349 God.41032 Now therefore, our God,430 the great,1419 the mighty,1368 and the awesome3372 God,410 who keeps8104 covenant1285 and loving kindness,2617 don't let all the travail8513 seem little4591 before6440 you, that has come4672 on us, on our kings,4428 on our princes,8269 and on our priests,3548 and on our prophets,5030 and on our fathers,1 and on all your people,5971 since the time3117 of the kings4428 of Assyria804 to this day.311733 However you are just6662 in all that has come935 on us; for you have dealt6213 truly, but we have done6213 wickedly;756134 neither have our kings,4428 our princes,8269 our priests,3548 nor our fathers,1 kept6213 your law,8451 nor listened7181 to your commandments4687 and your testimonies5715 with which you testified5749 against them.
35 For they have not served5647 you in their kingdom,4438 and in your great7227 goodness2898 that you gave5414 them, and in the large7342 and rich8082 land776 which you gave5414 before6440 them, neither did they turn7725 from their wicked7451 works.4611
Nehemiah 9:36 "Behold, we are servants5650 this day,3117 and as for the land776 that you gave5414 to our fathers1 to eat398 its fruit6529 and its good,2898 behold, we are servants5650 in it.
37 It yields much7235 increase8393 to the kings4428 whom you have set5414 over us because of our sins:2403 also they have power4910 over our bodies,1472 and over our livestock,929 at their pleasure,7522 and we are in great1419 distress.686938 Yet for all this, we make3772 a sure548 covenant, and write3789 it; and our princes,8269 our Levites,3881 and our priests,3548 seal2856 it."
