Luke 17:1 He said to the disciples, “Itisimpossiblethatnooccasionsofstumblingshouldcome,butwoetohimthroughwhomtheycome!2Itwouldbebetterforhimifamillstonewerehungaroundhisneck,andhewerethrownintothesea,ratherthanthatheshouldcauseoneoftheselittleonestostumble.3Becareful.Ifyourbrothersinsagainstyou,rebukehim.Ifherepents,forgivehim.4Ifhesinsagainstyouseventimesintheday,andseventimesreturns,saying,‘Irepent,’youshallforgivehim.”
Luke 17:5 The emissaries said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
Luke 17:6 The Lord said, “Ifyouhadfaithlikeagrainofmustardseed,youwouldtellthissycamoretree,‘Beuprootedandbeplantedinthesea,’anditwouldobeyyou.7Butwhoisthereamongyou,havingaservantplowingorkeepingsheep,thatwillsaywhenhecomesinfromthefield,‘Comeimmediatelyandsitdownatthetable’?8Wouldn’therathertellhim,‘Preparemysupper,clotheyourselfproperly,andservemewhileIeatanddrink.Afterwardyoushalleatanddrink’?9Doeshethankthatservantbecausehedidthethingsthatwerecommanded?Ithinknot.10Evensoyoualso,whenyouhavedoneallthethingsthatarecommandedyou,say,‘Weareunworthyservants.Wehavedoneourduty.’ ”
Luke 17:11 As he was on his way to Jerusalem, he was passing along the borders of Samaria and Galilee.
12 As he entered into a certain village, ten men who were lepers met him, who stood at a distance.
13 They lifted up their voices, saying, “Yeshua, Master, have mercy on us!”
Luke 17:14 When he saw them, he said to them, “Goandshowyourselvestothepriests.” As they went, they were cleansed.
15 One of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice.
16 He fell on his face at Yeshua’s feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.
Luke 17:17 Yeshua answered, “Weren’tthetencleansed?Butwherearethenine?18WeretherenonefoundwhoreturnedtogiveglorytoGod,exceptthisforeigner?”19 Then he said to him, “Getup,andgoyourway.Yourfaithhashealedyou.”
Luke 17:20 Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, “God’sKingdomdoesn’tcomewithobservation;21neitherwilltheysay,‘Look,here!’or,‘Look,there!’forbehold,God’sKingdomiswithinyou.”
Luke 17:22 He said to the disciples, “ThedayswillcomewhenyouwilldesiretoseeoneofthedaysoftheSonofMan,andyouwillnotseeit.23Theywilltellyou,‘Look,here!’or‘Look,there!’Don’tgoawayorfollowafterthem,24forasthelightning,whenitflashesoutofonepartunderthesky,shinestoanotherpartunderthesky,sowilltheSonofManbeinhisday.25Butfirst,hemustsuffermanythingsandberejectedbythisgeneration.26AsitwasinthedaysofNoah,evensoitwillalsobeinthedaysoftheSonofMan.27Theyate,theydrank,theymarried,andtheyweregiveninmarriageuntilthedaythatNoahenteredintotheship,andthefloodcameanddestroyedthemall.28Likewise,evenasitwasinthedaysofLot:theyate,theydrank,theybought,theysold,theyplanted,theybuilt;29butinthedaythatLotwentoutfromSodom,itrainedfireandsulfurfromtheskyanddestroyedthemall.30ItwillbethesamewayinthedaythattheSonofManisrevealed.31Inthatday,hewhowillbeonthehousetopandhisgoodsinthehouse,lethimnotgodowntotakethemaway.Lethimwhoisinthefieldlikewisenotturnback.32RememberLot’swife!33Whoeverseekstosavehislifelosesit,butwhoeverloseshislifepreservesit.34Itellyou,inthatnighttherewillbetwopeopleinonebed.Onewillbetakenandtheotherwillbeleft.35Therewillbetwogrindinggraintogether.Onewillbetakenandtheotherwillbeleft.”36{Some Greek manuscripts add: “Two will be in the field: the one taken, and the other left.”}
Luke 17:37 They, answering, asked him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Wherethebodyis,therethevultureswillalsobegatheredtogether.”
