Joshua 11:1 And it came to pass, when Jabin2985 king4428 of Hazor2674 had heard8085 those things, that he sent7971 to Jobab3103 king4428 of Madon,4068 and to the king4428 of Shimron,8110 and to the king4428 of Achshaph,407 cr 2 And to the kings4428 that were on the north6828 of the mountains,2022 and of the plains6160 south5045 of Chinneroth,3672 and in the valley,8219 and in the borders5299 of Dor1756 on the west,3220 cr 3 And to the Canaanite3669 on the east4217 and on the west,3220 and to the Amorite,567 and the Hittite,2850 and the Perizzite,6522 and the Jebusite2983 in the mountains,2022 and to the Hivite2340 under Hermon2768 in the land776 of Mizpeh.4709 cr 4 And they went out,3318 they and all their hosts4264 with them, much7227 people,5971 even as the sand2344 that is upon the sea3220 shore8193 in multitude,7230 with horses5483 and chariots7393 very3966 many.7227 cr 5 And when all these kings4428 were met together,3259{Heb. assembled by appointment} they came935 and pitched2583 together3162 at the waters4325 of Merom,4792 to fight3898 against Israel.3478 cr

Joshua 11:6 And the LORD3068 said559 unto Joshua,3091 Be not afraid3372 because6440 of them: for to morrow4279 about this time6256 will I deliver them up5414 all slain2491 before6440 Israel:3478 thou shalt hough6131 their horses,5483 and burn8313 their chariots4818 with fire.784 cr 7 So Joshua3091 came,935 and all the people5971 of war4421 with him, against them by the waters4325 of Merom4792 suddenly;6597 and they fell upon5307 them. cr 8 And the LORD3068 delivered5414 them into the hand3027 of Israel,3478 who smote5221 them, and chased7291 them unto great7227 Zidon,6721{Or, Zidonrabbah} and unto Misrephothmaim,4956{Or, salt pits. Joshua 11:10 And Joshua3091 at that time6256 turned back,7725 and took3920 Hazor,2674 and smote5221 the king4428 thereof with the sword:2719 for Hazor2674 beforetime6440 was the head7218 of all those kingdoms.4467 cr 11 And they smote5221 all the souls5315 that were therein with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 utterly destroying2763 them: there was not any left3498 to breathe:5397{Heb. any breath} and he burnt8313 Hazor2674 with fire.784 cr 12 And all the cities5892 of those kings,4428 and all the kings4428 of them, did Joshua3091 take,3920 and smote5221 them with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 and he utterly destroyed2763 them, as Moses4872 the servant5650 of the LORD3068 commanded.6680 cr 13 But as for the cities5892 that stood5975 still in their strength,8510{Heb. on their heap} Israel3478 burned8313 none of them, save2108 Hazor2674 only; that did Joshua3091 burn.8313 cr 14 And all the spoil7998 of these cities,5892 and the cattle,929 the children1121 of Israel3478 took for a prey962 unto themselves; but every man120 they smote5221 with the edge6310 of the sword,2719 until they had destroyed8045 them, neither left7604 they any to breathe.5397 cr

Joshua 11:15 As the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses4872 his servant,5650 so did Moses4872 command6680 Joshua,3091 and so did6213 Joshua;3091 he left5493 2794 nothing1697 undone5493{Heb. he removed nothing} of all that the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses.4872 cr

Joshua 11:16 So Joshua3091 took3947 all that land,776 the hills,2022 and all the south country,5045 and all the land776 of Goshen,1657 and the valley,8219 and the plain,6160 and the mountain2022 of Israel,3478 and the valley8219 of the same; cr 17 Even from the mount2022 Halak,2510{Or, the smooth mountain} that goeth up5927 to Seir,8165 even unto Baalgad1171 in the valley1237 of Lebanon3844 under mount2022 Hermon:2768 and all their kings4428 he took,3920 and smote5221 them, and slew4191 them. cr 18 Joshua3091 made6213 war4421 a long7227 time3117 with all those kings.4428 cr 19 There was not a city5892 that made peace7999 with the children1121 of Israel,3478 save the Hivites2340 the inhabitants3427 of Gibeon:1391 all other they took3947 in battle.4421 cr 20 For it was of the LORD3068 to harden2388 their hearts,3820 that they should come against7125 Israel3478 in battle,4421 that he might destroy them utterly,2763 and that they might have no favour,8467 but that he might destroy8045 them, as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses.4872 cr

Joshua 11:21 And at that time6256 came935 Joshua,3091 and cut off3772 the Anakims6062 from the mountains,2022 from Hebron,2275 from Debir,1688 from Anab,6024 and from all the mountains2022 of Judah,3063 and from all the mountains2022 of Israel:3478 Joshua3091 destroyed them utterly2763 with their cities.5892 cr 22 There was none of the Anakims6062 left3498 in the land776 of the children1121 of Israel:3478 only in Gaza,5804 in Gath,1661 and in Ashdod,795 there remained.7604 cr 23 So Joshua3091 took3947 the whole land,776 according to all that the LORD3068 said1696 unto Moses;4872 and Joshua3091 gave5414 it for an inheritance5159 unto Israel3478 according to their divisions4256 by their tribes.7626 And the land776 rested8252 from war.4421 cr
