Jeremiah 27:1 In the beginning7225 of the reign4467 of Jehoiakim3079 the son1121 of Josiah2977 king4428 of Judah3063 came this word1697 unto Jeremiah3414 from the LORD,3068 saying,5592 Thus saith559 the LORD3068 to me; Make6213 thee bonds4147 and yokes,4133 and put5414 them upon thy neck,66773 And send7971 them to the king4428 of Edom,123 and to the king4428 of Moab,4124 and to the king4428 of the Ammonites,11215983 and to the king4428 of Tyrus,6865 and to the king4428 of Zidon,6721 by the hand3027 of the messengers4397 which come935 to Jerusalem3389 unto Zedekiah6667 king4428 of Judah;30634 And command6680 them to say559 unto their masters,113 Thus saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel;3478 Thus shall ye say559 unto your masters;113{Or, concerning their masters, saying}5 I have made6213 the earth,776 the man120 and the beast929 that are upon6440 the ground,776 by my great1419 power3581 and by my outstretched5186 arm,2220 and have given5414 it unto whom it seemed5869 meet3474 unto me.
6 And now have I given5414 all these lands776 into the hand3027 of Nebuchadnezzar5019 the king4428 of Babylon,894 my servant;5650 and the beasts2416 of the field7704 have I given5414 him also to serve5647 him.
7 And all nations1471 shall serve5647 him, and his son,1121 and his son's1121 son,1121 until the very time6256 of his land776 come:935 and then many7227 nations1471 and great1419 kings4428 shall serve5647 themselves of him.
Jeremiah 27:8 And it shall come to pass, that the nation1471 and kingdom4467 which will not serve5647 the same Nebuchadnezzar5019 the king4428 of Babylon,894 and that will not put5414 their neck6677 under the yoke5923 of the king4428 of Babylon,894 that nation1471 will I punish,6485 saith5002 the LORD,3068 with the sword,2719 and with the famine,7458 and with the pestilence,1698 until I have consumed8552 them by his hand.30279 Therefore hearken8085 not ye to your prophets,5030 nor to your diviners,7080 nor to your dreamers,2472{Heb. dreams} nor to your enchanters,6049 nor to your sorcerers,3786 which speak559 unto you, saying,559 Ye shall not serve5647 the king4428 of Babylon:89410 For they prophesy5012 a lie8267 unto you, to remove you far7368 from your land;127 and that I should drive you out,5080 and ye should perish.611 But the nations1471 that bring935 their neck6677 under the yoke5923 of the king4428 of Babylon,894 and serve5647 him, those will I let remain still3240 in their own land,127 saith5002 the LORD;3068 and they shall till5647 it, and dwell3427 therein.
Jeremiah 27:12 I spake1696 also to Zedekiah6667 king4428 of Judah3063 according to all these words,1697 saying,559 Bring935 your necks6677 under the yoke5923 of the king4428 of Babylon,894 and serve5647 him and his people,5971 and live.242113 Why will ye die,4191 thou and thy people,5971 by the sword,2719 by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence,1698 as the LORD3068 hath spoken1696 against the nation1471 that will not serve5647 the king4428 of Babylon?89414 Therefore hearken8085 not unto the words1697 of the prophets5030 that speak559 unto you, saying,559 Ye shall not serve5647 the king4428 of Babylon:894 for they prophesy5012 a lie8267 unto you.
15 For I have not sent7971 them, saith5002 the LORD,3068 yet they prophesy5012 a lie8267{Heb. in a lie, or lyingly} in my name;8034 that I might drive you out,5080 and that ye might perish,6 ye, and the prophets5030 that prophesy5012 unto you.
16 Also I spake1696 to the priests3548 and to all this people,5971 saying,559 Thus saith559 the LORD;3068 Hearken8085 not to the words1697 of your prophets5030 that prophesy5012 unto you, saying,559 Behold, the vessels3627 of the LORD'S3068 house1004 shall now shortly4120 be brought again7725 from Babylon:894 for they prophesy5012 a lie8267 unto you.
17 Hearken8085 not unto them; serve5647 the king4428 of Babylon,894 and live:2421 wherefore should this city5892 be laid waste?272318 But if they be prophets,5030 and if the word1697 of the LORD3068 be3426 with them, let them now make intercession6293 to the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 that the vessels3627 which are left3498 in the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and in the house1004 of the king4428 of Judah,3063 and at Jerusalem,3389 go935 not to Babylon.894
Jeremiah 27:19 For thus saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 concerning the pillars,5982 and concerning the sea,3220 and concerning the bases,4350 and concerning the residue3499 of the vessels3627 that remain3498 in this city,589220 Which Nebuchadnezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon894 took3947 not, when he carried away captive1540 Jeconiah3204 the son1121 of Jehoiakim3079 king4428 of Judah3063 from Jerusalem3389 to Babylon,894 and all the nobles2715 of Judah3063 and Jerusalem;338921 Yea, thus saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 concerning the vessels3627 that remain3498in the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and in the house1004 of the king4428 of Judah3063 and of Jerusalem;338922 They shall be carried935 to Babylon,894 and there shall they be until the day3117 that I visit6485 them, saith5002 the LORD;3068 then will I bring5927 them up, and restore7725 them to this place.4725
