8 And the tale4971 of the bricks,3843 which they did make6213 heretofore,80328543 ye shall lay7760 upon them; ye shall not diminish1639ought thereof: for they be idle;7503 therefore they cry,6817 saying,559 Let us go3212and sacrifice2076 to our God.4309 Let there more work5656 be laid3513 upon the men,582{Heb. let the work be heavy upon the men} that they may labour6213 therein; and let them not regard8159 vain8267 words.1697

Exodus 5:19 And the officers7860 of the children1121 of Israel3478 did see7200that they were in evil7451case, after it was said,559 Ye shall not minish1639ought from your bricks3843 of your daily31173117 task.169720 And they met6293 Moses4872 and Aaron,175 who stood5324 in the way,7125 as they came forth3318 from Pharaoh:654721 And they said559 unto them, The LORD3068 look7200 upon you, and judge;8199 because ye have made our savour7381 to be abhorred887{Heb. to stink} in the eyes5869 of Pharaoh,6547 and in the eyes5869 of his servants,5650 to put5414 a sword2719 in their hand3027 to slay2026 us.
Exodus 5:22 And Moses4872 returned7725 unto the LORD,3068 and said,559 Lord,136 wherefore hast thou so evil entreated7489 this people?5971 why is it that thou hast sent7971 me?
23 For since I came935 to Pharaoh6547 to speak1696 in thy name,8034 he hath done evil7489 to this people;5971 neither hast thou delivered5337{Heb. delivering thou hast not delivered} thy people5971 at all.5337
