2 then your elders2205 and your judges8199 shall come forth,3318 and they shall measure4058 to the cities5892 which are around5439 him who is slain:24913 and it shall be, that the city5892 which is nearest7138 to the slain man,2491 even the elders2205 of that city5892 shall take3947 a heifer1241 of the herd, which hasn't been worked with,5647 and which has not drawn4900 in the yoke;59234 and the elders2205 of that city5892 shall bring down3381 the heifer5697 to a386 valley5158 with running water, which is neither plowed5647 nor sown,2232 and shall break6202 the heifer's5697 neck6202 there in the valley.51585 The priests3548 the sons1121 of Levi3878 shall come near;5066 for them Yahweh3068 your God430 has chosen977 to minister8334 to him, and to bless1288 in the name8034 of Yahweh;3068 and according to their word6310 shall every controversy7379 and every stroke5061 be.
6 All the elders2205 of that city,5892 who are nearest7138 to the slain2491 man, shall wash7364 their hands3027 over the heifer5697 whose neck was broken6202 in the valley;51587 and they shall answer6030 and say,559 "Our hands3027 have not shed8210 this blood,1818 neither have our eyes5869 seen7200 it.
8 Forgive,3722 Yahweh,3068 your people5971 Israel,3478 whom you have redeemed,6299 and don't allow5414 innocent5355 blood1818 in the midst7130 of your people5971 Israel."3478 The blood1818 shall be forgiven3722 them.
9 So you shall put away1197 the innocent5355 blood1818 from the midst7130 of you, when you shall do6213 that which is right3477 in the eyes5869 of Yahweh.3068

15 If a man376 have two8147 wives,802 the one259 beloved,157 and the other259 hated,8130 and they have borne3205 him children,1121 both the beloved157 and the hated;8130 and if the firstborn1060 son1121 be hers who was hated;814616 then it shall be, in the day3117 that he causes his sons1121 to inherit5157 that which he has, that he may3201 not make the son1121 of the beloved157 the firstborn1069 before6440 the son1121 of the hated,8130 who is the firstborn:106017 but he shall acknowledge5234 the firstborn,1060 the son1121 of the hated,8130 by giving5414 him a double8147 portion6310 of all that he has;4672 for he is the beginning7225 of his strength;202 the right4941 of the firstborn1062 is his.
18 If a man376 have a stubborn5637 and rebellious4784 son,1121 who will not obey8085 the voice6963 of his father,1 or the voice6963 of his mother,517 and, though they chasten3256 him, will not listen8085 to them;
19 then shall his father1 and his mother517 lay hold8610 on him, and bring him out3318 to the elders2205 of his city,5892 and to the gate8179 of his place;472520 and they shall tell559 the elders2205 of his city,5892 "This our son1121 is stubborn5637 and rebellious,4784 he will not obey8085 our voice;6963 he is a glutton,2151 and a drunkard."543321 All the men582 of his city5892 shall stone7275 him to death4191 with stones:7275 so you shall put1197 away1197 the evil7451 from the midst7130 of you; and all Israel3478 shall hear,8085 and fear.3372
Deuteronomy 21:22 If a man376 have committed a sin2399 worthy of4941 death,4194 and he be put to death,4194 and you hang8518 him on a tree;608623 his body5038 shall not remain all night3885 on the tree,6086 but you shall surely6912 bury6912 him the same day;3117 for he who is hanged8518 is accursed7045 of God;430 that you don't defile2930 your land127 which Yahweh3068 your God430 gives5414 you for an inheritance.5159
