Daniel 8:1 In the third7969 year8141 of the reign4438 of king4428 Belshazzar1112 a vision2377 appeared7200 unto me, even unto me, Daniel,1840 after310 that which appeared7200 unto me at the first.84622 And I saw7200 in the vision;2377 now it was so, that when I saw,7200 I was in Shushan7800 the palace,1002{Or, castle} which is in the province4082 of Elam;5867 and I saw7200 in the vision,2377 and I was by the river180 Ulai.1953 Then I lifted up5375 mine eyes,5869 and saw,7200 and, behold, there stood5975 before6440 the river180 a259 ram352 which had two horns:7161 and the two horns7161 were high;1364 but one259 was higher1364 than the other,8145 and the higher1364 came up5927 last.3144 I saw7200 the ram352 pushing5055 westward,3220 and northward,6828 and southward;5045 and no beasts2416 could stand5975 before6440 him, neither was there any that could deliver5337 out of his hand;3027 but he did6213 according to his will,7522 and magnified himself.1431
Daniel 8:5 And as I was considering,995 behold, a he-goat6842 came935 from the west4628 over the face6440 of the whole earth,776 and touched5060{Hebrew none touched the ground.} not the ground:776 and the goat6842 had a notable2380 horn7161 between his eyes.58696 And he came935 to the ram352 that had1167 the two horns,7161 which I saw7200 standing5975 before6440 the river,180 and ran7323 upon him in the fury2534 of his power.35817 And I saw7200 him come5060 close unto681 the ram,352 and he was moved with anger4843 against him, and smote5221 the ram,352 and brake7665 his two8147 horns;7161 and there was no power3581 in the ram352 to stand5975 before6440 him; but he cast him down7993 to the ground,776 and trampled7429 upon him; and there was none that could deliver5337 the ram352 out of his hand.30278 And the he-goat5795 magnified1431 himself exceedingly:3966 and when he6842 was strong,6105 the great1419 horn7161 was broken;7665 and instead of it there came up5927 four702 notable horns toward the four702 winds7307 of heaven.8064
Daniel 8:9 And out of one259 of them came forth3318 a little4704 horn,7161 which waxed exceeding3499 great,1431 toward the south,5045 and toward the east,4217 and toward the glorious land.664310 And it waxed great,1431 even to the host6635 of heaven;8064 and some of the host6635 and of the stars3556 it cast down5307 to the ground,776 and trampled upon them.742911 Yea, it magnified1431 itself, even to the prince8269 of the host;6635 and it{Another reading is, the continual burnt-offering was taken away from him.} took away7311 from him the continual8548burnt-offering, and the place4349 of his sanctuary4720 was cast down.799312 And the{Or, a host was given to it against the etc. Or, a host was set over the etc.} host6635 was given5414 over toit together with the continual8548burnt-offering through transgression;6588 and it cast down7993 truth571 to the ground,776 and it did its pleasure6213 and prospered.674313 Then I heard8085 a259 holy one6918 speaking;1696 and another259 holy one259 said559 unto that certain6422 one who spake,1696 How long shall be the vision2377concerning the continual8548burnt-offering, and the transgression6588 that maketh desolate,8074 to give5414 both the sanctuary6944 and the host6635 to be trodden under foot?482314 And he said559 unto me, Unto two thousand505 and three7969 hundred3967 evenings6153and mornings; then shall the sanctuary6944 be cleansed.6663{Hebrew justified.}
Daniel 8:15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel,1840 had seen7200 the vision,2377 that I sought1245 to{Hebrew understanding.} understand998 it; and, behold, there stood5975 before me as the appearance4758 of a man.139716 And I heard8085 a man's120 voice6963 between thebanksof the Ulai,195 which called,7121 and said,559 Gabriel,1403 make this1975 man to understand995 the vision.475817 So he came935 near681 where I stood;5977 and when he came,935 I was affrighted,1204 and fell5307 upon my face:6440 but he said559 unto me, Understand,995 O son1121 of man;120 for the vision2377 belongeth to the time6256 of the end.709318 Now as he was speaking1696 with me, I fell into a deep sleep7290 with my face6440 toward the ground;776 but he touched5060 me, and set5975 me upright.5977{Or, where I had stood}19 And he said,559 Behold, I will make thee know3045 what shall be in the latter time319 of the indignation;2195 for it belongeth to the appointed4150 time of the end.709320 The ram352 which thou sawest,7200 that had1167 the two horns,7161 they are the kings4428 of Media4074 and Persia.653921 And the rough8163 he-goat6842 is the king4428 of Greece:3120{Hebrew Javan.} and the great1419 horn7161 that is between his eyes5869 is the first7223 king.442822 And as for that which was broken,7665 in the place whereof four702 stood up,5975 four702 kingdoms4438 shall stand up5975 out of the nation,1471 but not with his power.358123 And in the latter time319 of their kingdom,4438 when the transgressors6586 are come to the full,8552 a king4428 of fierce5794 countenance,6440 and understanding995 dark sentences,2420 shall stand up.597524 And his power3581 shall be mighty,6105 but not by{Or, with his power. See verse 22.} his own power;3581 and he shall destroy7843{Or, corrupt} wonderfully,6381 and shall prosper6743 and do hispleasure;6213 and he shall destroy7843{Or, corrupt} the mighty6099 ones and the{Hebrew people of the saints.} holy6918 people.597125 And through his policy7922 he shall cause craft4820 to prosper6743 in his hand;3027 and he shall magnify1431 himself in his heart,3824 and in their security7962 shall he destroy7843{Or, corrupt} many:7227 he shall also stand up5975 against the prince8269 of princes;8269 but he shall be broken7665 without657 hand.302726 And the vision4758 of the evenings6153 and mornings1242 which hath been told559 is true:571 but shut thou up5640 the vision;2377 for it belongeth to many7227 days tocome.311727 And I, Daniel,1840 fainted,1961 and was sick2470 certain days;3117 then I rose up,6965 and did6213 the king's4428 business:4399 and I wondered8074 at the vision,4758 but{Or, but there was none to make it understood} none understood it.995
