Joseph's wife is apparently dead as she is not mentioned in the Lancaster's Court Records.

Letters of Administration and court records re the estate of Joseph Cunningham, administered by his eldest son,James, and listing his children.

Joseph received proprietary patent for 168 acres of land from Thomas and Richard Penn(sons of William Penn). That same year, he deeded 27 and 2 quarter
acres of the tract to his eldest son James.

Joseph immigrated with his two brothers.

Supposed Joseph and his two brothers were descendents of a Scotch Presbyterian family who had moved from Ayreshire, Scotland, to Ulster Ireland during the reign of James I in the 17th Century tp proselytize the Catholic Irish.
