Jesse Williams
Inventor and founder of the first cheese factory in the world -- in Oneida County, NY. sometime prior to 1850. In 1870, the Rome Cheese Manufacturing Association was formed. By 1894, they had 1032 cheese factories. See pages 89-91 inWilliams-Walworth Genealogy.
