He came to America to avoid being drafted into the Danish army according to stories he told Orletta (Grand daughter). He lived with his daughter (Minnie) for about 10 years. He died in Nebraska either at Alma or Orleans whil he was visitingdaughters Anna Whitehead and Tena Whitehead.
