Simeon Nash

GEN: _DEG GEN: PLAC Amherst College, Mass -- lawyer GEN: OCCU GEN: PLAC Judge of the 7th judicial district of OhioRead law in South Hadley; and settled in Gallipolis, Ohio, where he was admitted GEN: to the bar in March, 1833. In 1839, was elected to the Ohio Senate (as a Whig) and held other positions of trust until 1851, GEN: when he was elected one of the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas, or District Court of the seventh Judicial District of GEN: Ohio. He was a liberal contributor to papers and law journals, as well as the author of several works on law. He also wrote, GEN: "Morality in the State," and "Crime in the Family."
Simeon married Cynthia Smith, daughter of James Smith and Mercy.
