3rd Angel's Message - 1st 4 Commandments

Witnesses Needed:

2 Corinthians 13:1 ... At the mouth of two witnesses or three shall every word be established. (Paul quoting from Deuteronomy 19:15)

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Commandments of God:

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. -Jesus

Mark 12:29 ... The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. -Jesus

Who is "The Lord our God"?:

Deuteronomy 6:3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as Jehovah, the God[elohim] of thy fathers, hath promised unto thee, in a land flowing with milk and honey. 4 Hear, O Israel: Jehovah our God[elohim] is one[ʼechâd] Jehovah: 5 and thou shalt love Jehovah thy God[elohim] with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be upon thy heart; 7 and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thy house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thy hand, and they shall be for frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the door-posts of thy house, and upon thy gates.

Answer: "The Lord our God" is Jehovah our elohim

אֱלֹהִים ʼĕlôhîym,el-o-heem'; (Strong's 430)

plural of H433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative

KJV Translation(s):--angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty. Moses=>Ex4:16;7:1. Angels=>Ps8:5. Judge=>Ex21:6;22:8; 1Sam2:25. exceeding=>Jonah3:3. More info => http://sidnash.org/t/Jehovah-Elohiym-Creator.php

אֶחָד ʼechâd, ekh-awd'; (Strong's 259)

a numeral from H258; properly, united, i.e. one; or (as an ordinal) first

KJV Translation(s):--a, alike, alone, altogether, and, any(-thing), apiece, a certain, (dai-)ly, each (one), + eleven, every, few, first, + highway, a man, once, one, only, other, some, together. Singular "one"=> De17:6;19:15; eccl4:8. More info => http://sidnash.org/t/echad.html

First 3 of the 10 Commandments:

Exodus 20:1 And God[elohim] spake all these words, saying, 2 I am Jehovah thy God[elohim] , who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods[elohim] before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them, for I Jehovah thy God[elohim] am a jealous God[el], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth generation of them that hate me, 6 and showing lovingkindness unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. 7 Thou shalt not take the name of Jehovah thy God[elohim] in vain; for Jehovah will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

אֵל ʼêl, ale; (Strong's 410)

shortened from H352; strength; as adjective, mighty; especially the Almighty (but used also of any deity)

KJV Translation(s):--God (god), X goodly, X great, idol, might(-y one), power, strong. Compare names in "-el."

Is the word 'Jehovah' singular or plural? Four witnesses:

Deuteronomy 4:35 Unto thee it was showed, that thou mightest know that Jehovah he is God[elohim]; there is none else besides him. ... 39 Know therefore this day, and lay it to thy heart, that Jehovah he is God[elohim] in heaven above and upon the earth beneath; there is none else.

Isaiah 45:5 I am Jehovah, and there is none else; besides me there is no God[elohim]. I will gird thee, though thou hast not known me;

Isaiah 46:9 Remember the former things of old: for I am God[el], and there is none else; I am God[elohim], and there is none like me;

Isaiah 45:14 Thus saith Jehovah, The labor of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall go after thee, in chains they shall come over; and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God[el] is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God[elohim]. ... 18 For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the God[elohim] that formed the earth and made it, that established it and created it not a waste, that formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah; and there is none else.

It sure looks like 'Jehovah' is singular, but let's continue...

OT Creator:

Sabbath - Jehovah elohim speaking (2 witnesses):

Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work; 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath unto Jehovah thy God[elohim]: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Jehovah blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

"Remember..." - a memorial of Creation:

Genesis 2:1 And the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God[elohim] finished his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God[elohim] blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it; because that in it he rested from all his work which God[elohim] had created and made. 4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that Jehovah God[elohim] made earth and heaven.

OPINION => Being a memorial of Jehovah and His created works, I would think that only Jehovah could change the nature of His "hallowed" 7th-day Sabbath. However, the Bible holds no record, not even one witness, of Jehovah changing the Sabbath day.

Nehemiah 9:6 Thou art Jehovah, even thou alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all things that are thereon, the seas and all that is in them, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

Isaiah 37:16 O Jehovah of hosts, the God[elohim]of Israel, that sittest above the cherubim, thou art the God[elohim], even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the God[elohim]that formed the earth and made it, that established it and created it not a waste, that formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah; and there is none else.

Five witnesses have declared Jehovah to be the creator of the OT.

NT Creator

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

John 5:19 ... The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. ... 30 I can of mine own self do nothing... I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 8:28 ... I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Hebrews 1:1 God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners,  2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

1 Corinthians 8:6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him.

Three witnesses have declared Christ's Father to be the creator of the NT. So, Jehovah must be the Father of Christ.

God of the 1st Angel's Message:

Revelation 14:6 ¶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God[Jehovah], and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

The God Who's Seal is in the Foreheads of the Saints:

Revelation 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Who is "the living God":

Matthew 16:16 ¶ And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

Revelation 14:1 ¶ And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name[Jehovah] written in their foreheads.

So, is it any wonder what Jesus claims that His Father(Jehovah) is the only true God?

John 17:1-3 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: 2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Jerimiah Agrees:

Jeremiah 10:10 But Jehovah is the true God; he is the living God, and an everlasting King: at his wrath the earth trembleth, and the nations are not able to abide his indignation.

Conclusion: The Creator - the Father of Christ - the only true God, who seals the the 144,000 - "Jehovah, the eternal, self-existent, uncreated One, Himself the Source and Sustainer of all, is alone entitled to supreme reverence and worship..."
